The Chambers – Family Business

Welcome to Haigs hotel and Mckees Brasserie. This is a family run hotel and restaurant. Owners Simon and Jayne both had a keen interest in food from an early age and were both professionally trained at Birmingham College of Food and then moved to London to further their knowledge. In London they worked at a variety of establishments including the Savoy and Inn on the Park. From their experience in London they set up their first business in 1991, a small café in Birmingham. This has led to several other businesses and finally to Haigs hotel, with their children Jessica and Jordan also working at the business.

1994-2006: Simon and Jayne’s opened their first restaurant Mckees having run a successful Café in Birmingham

2005-2007: Moved from the small village of Studley to the busy high street in Solihull

2007- to present: Moved to bigger premises and the opportunity to run a hotel at Haigs Hotel.
